Wanstead: A beautiful village, a stone’s throw from Central London.

 A leafy suburban area in north-east London, Wanstead, forms part of the London Borough of Redbridge. Wanstead contains open grasslands such as Wanstead Flats, as well as the woodland of Wanstead Park, which is part of the Epping Forest. One of the finest Palladian mansions in Britain, Wanstead House, which was nicknamed the English Versailles and served as the architectural inspiration for Mansion House in London, was once situated in Wanstead.

Wanstead has a relaxed, suburban feel. It boasts beautiful parks, lakes, a busy high street, with its trendy shops, cafes and restaurants.

Wanstead has a selection of independent, voluntary-aided (faith) and state- funded primary and secondary schools, such as Wanstead Church Primary Schools(outstanding) and Wanstead High School, which celebrated its students achieving “the very highest” GCSE grades this year.

There are excellent transport links in Wanstead. Snaresbrook and Wanstead Underground Stations (Central Line) provide an excellent link to Central London and the City (15 minutes to Bank Station), while a train from Wood Street Railway Station will take you to Liverpool Station in only 19 minutes. Leytonstone High Road Rail Station is also situated in Wanstead providing an excellent transport link.

Wanstead has beautiful Victorian, and even some Georgian, terraces, especially around Wanstead Park. Property prices vary between £249,000 for a one-bedroom flat to £1,750,000 for a beautiful five-bedroom detached house.
