Transport in Forest Gate:
The Forest Gate Railway Station, which was first opened in 1840 on the Great Eastern Main Line, offers services to London’s Liverpool Street Station via Stratford Station. Europe’s biggest construction project, Crossrail, is expected to further improve rail services for Forest Gate residents as well as its visitors. In the meantime, Wanstead Park Railway Station, opened in 1894, which is operated by London Overground, provides a fast service between Leytonstone High Road and Woodgrange Park.
